Ever wish you didn’t have to grow up? LCM is 21 and we don’t want to grow up, either! So we’re flying to Never Land for our 10th Annual Chairish the Children auction gala!
Discover the magical world of Never Land at The Pixie Hollow Patron Party from 7 to 8 p.m. At this fairy wonderland, pixie hollow visitors will be treated to a special demonstration by Chef Brian Landry of Galatoire’s, patron party favors and a chance to win $250 in CHAIRish Bucks! (For every patron ticket that you purchase, your name will be entered into a drawing to win $250 in CHAIRish Bucks, redeemable toward the purchase of any silent auction item.) Patron Party packages range between $300 and $1,000.

Early Spring 2009, Date TBD Grab your passport and travel around the world in a single day at the annual Children's World's Fair. Children ages 4-14 will discover what is unique and universal to cultures across the globe as they explore the music, literature, arts and crafts, inventions, games, native attire and food from 10-14 featured countries. Plus, travel to the center of the LCM Earth Balloon for an up-close and inside look at geography and our world and catch special performances with an international flair throughout the day on Center Stage. Since 1994, the Children's World's Fair has introduced New Orleans area children to more than 120 countries and their distinct cultures. Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Because of you, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey donated more than $4,150 to LCM's programs and exhibits. Thank you for your support and generosity! This year's ninth annual Chairish the Children, sponsored by Capital One, transported over 400 LCM supporters back to the glamour days of Old Hollywood and raised over $120,000 for LCM's programs and exhibits. Auctioneer Duke LoCicero, chef of Cafe Giovanni, helped attendees find their most "chairished" auction items from Terrance Osborne, George Dunbar, George Rodrigue, Matt Rinard, New Orleans Saints, Peyton Manning, and Mignon Faget among others. There were also extraordinary packages featuring airfare from Southwest Airlines and AirTran Airways, hotel accommodations from Hotel Intercontinental, Wyndham at Canal Place, Hilton St. Charles Avenue and Beau Rivage, exquisite dining and the finest seated events in town at the New Orleans Ballet, Southern Rep and more. And unique to Chairish the Children, supporters found one-of-a-kind chairs and chair-related items designed by New Orleans most 'chairished' artists, celebrities, decorators, shops, movers and shakers. And what would a Hollywood party be without delicious food and exciting entertainment? Attendees sipped onAbita Beer, wine and champagne and sampled delectable cuisine from New Orleans' best restaurants, including Muriel's Jackson Square, Galatoire's, 7 on Fulton, GW Fins, and many others. Local musicians Troy Sawyer Trio, featuring Joe Dyson, entertained our VIP stars at the Patron Party. Bessie on the Mind performed during the chairished Chairish party, and up-and-coming band, The Garden District, who count Cowboy Mouth and Better than Ezra among their legion of fans, closed the night out with a rocking performance.
