Our "Birthday Blast" package includes:

90-minute rental of a festive party room
Free admission for up to 20 party guests (age 1-16) and up to 25 accompanying adults
Paper products (plates, cups, napkins and utensils)
Colorful party invitations
20 FREE "Admit One Child Free" party favor passes
A gift for the guest of honor
Staff assistance

Available party times are as follows:

Saturday:

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Sunday:

12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Birthday parties are a privilege of membership. The Birthday Blast price for members is $195.

The party price for those also purchasing a membership (new or renewal) will range as follows:

$250 with a Family I membership (1 adult and 1 child)
$260 with a Family II membership (up to 5 visitors at a time)
$275 with a Family III membership (up to 8 visitors at a time)

An additional honoree is $15, and there can be no more than three birthday honorees per party.

Booking:

Payment must be made in full in order for the party to be confirmed.

Parties scheduled online without payment or valid membership will be automatically deleted from the system within 24 hours. Credit and debit cards are accepted online and by phone. Cash, check, debit and credit cards are accepted at the front desk.

Party Time:

You can access your party room 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to begin setting up.

Late arrivals will not be allowed additional time in the party room.

Parties MUST end at their scheduled time, no exceptions.

The Museum closes at 4:30 P.M. during the year and at 5:00 P.M. during the summer. If you are scheduled for the 3:00 P.M. party slot, you and your guests are invited to arrive early to play however you WILL NOT have access to your party room until 2:30 P.M. for set up.

Admission:

We provide you with admission to the Museum for 20 children and 25 adults.

The birthday child and immediate family are not counted in this tally.

An additional honoree is $15, and there can be no more than three birthday honorees per party.

Your guests will be asked to sign in as they enter the Museum.

If some of your guests are already members at the Museum, they only need to show their membership card and sign in and they will not count toward the tally either.

If you still do exceed the 20-25 mark, you will incurr a $7.50 per extra child and/or $4.00 per extra adult charge that you pay at the end of your party.

Anyone over the age of 16 constitutes an adult and anyone under the age of one is free.

Child and adult admissions are not interchangeable.

Food and Beverages:

You are more than welcome to bring your own in but all food or beverage must stay in the private party rooms.

If you're planning on ordering anything such as pizza, sandwiches or cake we ask that you DO NOT have it delivered to the Museum but you are welcome to pick it up before you come and bring it with you.

We cannot offer you any cold storage but you are more than welcome to bring an ice chest.

DO NOT bring any heating devices, such as schaffing dishes, crock pots, microwaves or hot plates, or alcoholic beverages into the Museum.

Decorations and Entertainment:

Each room features a festive hand-painted mural so decorations should be kept to a minimum.

You may not tape or tie balloons, banners or decoration to any painted/finished surfaces, duct work or ceilings.

The Museum does not provide helium or staff for balloon inflation.

Balloon arches, pinatas, and additional tables are not allowed. Balloon bouquets may be purchased as upgrades.

Costumed characters, magicians or outside entertainers are not allowed.

Staff Assistance:

A Museum staff member will be available to assist with transporting party supplies to and from the party room, PA announcements to gather guests, minimal set-up, cutting the cake and bagging gifts. You are the Host(ess) of your own party and we do not have a strict schedule that we run for you. The staff member is not on hand to supervise your guests so all children must be accompanied by a parent or adult throughout the Museum for their safety and supervision.

Cancellation Policy:

The party fee of $195 is nonrefundable. To reschedule you must call to change your party date at least 14 days prior.

In the event of a mandatory evacuation of the city of New Orleans, we will offer you the choice of receiving a refund of $195 or rescheduling your party.
