If you are an educator looking for fun summer activities, a free summer break membership to the Louisiana Children's Museum is just what you need! To redeem your special membership, take five minutes to complete this survey.  Once we have received all of your information, you can expect your membership card to arrive shortly.

Explore! Experience! Learn!

At the Louisiana Children's Museum, learning is FUN! Classroom lessons come to life as children explore and experience more than 100 hands-on exhibits, art activities and educational programs unique to the Louisiana Children's Museum.

Explore the anatomy and function of the amazing eye in Eye to Eye. Shop in the Little Winn Dixie grocery store. Dine in the five-star and role-play Kids' Café. Or create an original work of art with daily art encounters in Art Trek.

Experience what it might be like to pilot a towboat and navigate a barge on the Mighty Mississippi in the Little Port of New Orleans exhibit.  Climb the Rock Wall or ride a bike with Mr. Bones. Get charged-up with the Plasma Ball.

Learn what it takes to make healthy lifestyle choices in Team Turtle Training Camp. Or visit the Cajun Cottage and discover a little Louisiana and Cajun history.

The discounted group rate is extended only to organized groups (schools, churches, camps, home school groups) of 15 people or more who have scheduled a visit in advance. A group visit is a two hour, self-guided tour of the Museum at  rate of $3.50 per person. Private lunch space at the end of your field trip is available for an additional per-person fee.

Planning and scheduling your group visit to the Louisiana Children Museum is easy:

  • Call 504-586-0725, ext. 200 or click here for a group reservation request form and instructions.
  • Select and reserve an available date and time. The group rate is $3.50 per person (students and adult chaperones/teachers) for a two-hour visit of a group of 15 persons or more.
  • Sign and return the confirmation form that will be faxed to you. One payment for the entire group is due upon arrival of your scheduled visit.
  • Recruit chaperones for your visit. Chaperones are required to accompany children throughout the LCM for their safety and supervision. One chaperone (age 18+) is required for every six students.

Avoid the hustle and bustle of the Gift Shop and purchase your students' goody bags in advance!  Just click here to download the souvenir bag form. To order, fax in a completed copy at least 24 prior to your visit.
