Birthday Blast and Birthday Blow Out Policies


Full payment is required to reserve your party. You may book your party online, over the phone at (504) 266-2418 or in person at the Museum.

Parties scheduled without payment will be automatically deleted from the system within 24 hours. Credit and debit cards are accepted online and over the phone. Cash, check, credit and debit cards are accepted in person at the Museum.

Members enjoy a discounted rate on birthday parties. If you are not a member or if you need to renew your membership, please click here. Please note that your membership will start the day that you book your party. The name on the membership MUST be the name on the birthday party reservation.

Parties cannot be held or reserved without full payment. If you have trouble paying online, please call the Birthday Coordinator at (504) 266-2418 to pay over the phone or e-mail birthdays@lcm.org.


On Saturdays we have three time slots:
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

On Sundays we have two time slots:
12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.


All purchases are non-refundable.

You can reschedule your party as long as your originally booked date is not less than two weeks away.

In the event of an emergency closing, we will offer you the choice of receiving a refund or rescheduling your party.

Party Time:

You can access your party room 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to begin setting up.

Late arrivals will not be allowed additional time in the party room.

Parties MUST end at their scheduled time, no exceptions.

The Museum closes at 4:30 p.m. during the fall and spring and at 5:00 p.m. during the summer. If you are scheduled for the 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. party slot, you and your guests are invited to arrive early to play however you WILL NOT have access to your party room until 2:30 p.m. for set up.


We provide you with admission to the Museum for 20 children and 25 adults.

The birthday child and immediate family are not counted in this tally.

An additional honoree is $15, and there can be no more than two birthday honorees per party.

Your guests will be asked to sign in as they enter the Museum.

If some of your guests are already members of the Museum, they will not count toward the tally and must show their membership card when signing-in.

If you exceed the 20-25 mark, you will incur an $9.50 per extra child and/or $5.00 per extra adult charge that you pay at the end of your party.

Anyone over the age of 16 constitutes as an adult and anyone under the age of 12 months is free.

Child and adult admissions are not interchangeable.

Food & Beverage:

You may bring in your own food and beverage; however, all food and beverages must stay in the private party rooms.

If you’re planning on ordering anything such as pizza, sandwiches or cake, we ask that you DO NOT have it delivered to the Museum.

We cannot offer any cold storage but you are welcome to bring an ice chest.

DO NOT bring any heating devices into the Museum, this includes chafing dishes, crock pots, microwaves or hot plates.

DO NOT bring alcoholic beverages.

DO NOT bring glassware.

Decorations & Entertainment:

Each room features a festive hand-painted mural so decorations should be kept to a minimum.

You may not tape or tie balloons, banners or decoration to any painted/finished surfaces, duct work or ceilings.

The Museum does not provide helium or staff for balloon inflation.

Balloon arches, piñatas, and additional tables are not allowed.

Costumed characters, magicians or outside entertainers are not allowed.
