Louisiana Children's Museum

Sensory Friendly Sundays

Sensory Friendly Sundays offer an opportunity for families with children with disabilities or sensory processing differences to explore the museum in a comfortable and accepting setting!

This monthly program is held in partnership with LSU Health Sciences Center’s Occupational Therapy Department.  Representatives from LSU Health and Health Sciences will be on hand to answer questions, deliver activities, and provide resources to parents and families.  In addition, Whole Village Art Therapy will provide thematic art activities each month too.

Quiet spaces, noise-cancelling headphones, and sensory toys are available (limited number, please ask!).  Also to get a better sense of what a visit to LCM might be like, check out our Social Story, HERE.

For more information, please contact Grace Abrahams or Amy Kirk.
